Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This policy explains how Bournemouth White Lining Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal information when you visit this website, contact us or use our services, and how we use cookies on this website.

Who we are

Bournemouth White Lining Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 03482406, and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it:

What information we collect

  • Enquiries: when you use our enquiry form, email or phone us, we collect the details you give us — usually your name, email address, phone number and information about the job or site.
  • Customer records: if you become a customer, we keep the details needed to quote for, carry out and invoice the work, such as site addresses and correspondence.
  • Website usage: if you accept cookies, we collect information about how you use this website, such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site and whether you contacted us. This is described in the cookies section below.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry, visit the site if needed and provide a quotation.
  • To carry out and manage work you ask us to do, including the paperwork that goes with it.
  • To keep business and financial records, and to meet our legal obligations.
  • With your consent, to understand how our website is used and which of our marketing brings in enquiries, so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Our lawful basis

  • Contract: where we need your information to quote for or carry out work you have asked for.
  • Legitimate interests: to reply to enquiries and run our business, where this does not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep records, for example for tax and accounting.
  • Consent: for analytics cookies and similar technologies. You can withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Who we share it with

We only share information with organisations that help us run our website and business, and only as much as they need:

  • Zoho — provides our website enquiry form, which is managed for us by our web partner Expect Best.
  • Expect Best — our website and marketing partner, which maintains this website and, with your consent, measures which marketing leads to enquiries.
  • Google — Google Analytics (with your consent) and the Google Maps shown on some of our pages.
  • Microsoft — provides our email.
  • SiteGround — hosts this website.
  • Vimeo — hosts the videos shown on our homepage and project pages.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and for no more than two years if you do not go on to use our services. If you become a customer, we keep records of the work and our dealings with you for as long as the law requires, which is normally six years.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it;
  • object to us using your information on the basis of legitimate interests;
  • ask us to transfer your information to another organisation;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.
