As our name might suggest, Bournemouth White Lining paint effective road markings. This helps organised traffic flow and clearly marks designated parking areas. Without operational road markings, traffic would be a lot more erratic – to say the least!
White lining paint must provide a driver with a clear sense of uniformity whilst driving. The paint must be bright, eye-catching and offer strong visibility for drivers. The most common type of paint used on roads is thermoplastic paints.
BOURNEMOUTH WHITE LINING USE
Water-based Acrylic Paint
Thermoplastic Paint
Pre-formed Thermoplastic Paint
Water-based Acrylic Paint
Ideal for sports courts. It has a high level of durability, even in the tersest weather conditions. Despite this, it’s not impossible to remove and will eventually wear away. This last part is crucial. Although it will wash away, the paint is environmentally friendly.

Thermoplastic Paint
Most commonly used by road markers. This is slightly thicker than standard paint and needs to be heated up before it’s sprayed on tarmac roads. Once it dries, it becomes a hard polymer line. Like water-based acrylic paint, it is also environmentally friendly. It is mainly composed of synthetic resin, additives, packing materials, pigments and glass beads (to help with wheel traction).

Pre-formed Thermoplastic
These are typically used for laying down signs and other distinctive markings. As they are pre-formed – often in tape or shape form – the uniformity of the symbols is retained. This means that a passing driver would clearly be able to make out the outlines
